I suspect this is a firmware related issue, can you post the banner or tell me what firmware version is installed on the system?

If the system is in production, and you cannot bring it down to OBP to find that information, then from within Solaris, do ...# prtconf -V( that is an uppercase "V" )

rukbat, I know who this user is, they are Sun specialists and I am pretty sure there are people working there competent enough to obtain the information I asked for, whether the system is in production or not. The issue that they are dealing with is not " Spectrum " documented and is therfore not known externally to Sun or service partners.
