Hello,

Recently I am facing two Problem with Solaris 10 6/06 or 1/06. It was installed fine before 1 month no display problem etc.. in my sun ultra 20. Now When I am going to install it the display was not ok. I could not change resolution also from JDS. No option is showing. & when I installing driver cds, then its shows" Out Of Frequency", But I donot know why it is happening? I have same configartion everything was same before then there was no problem then.

& 2nd one is,

I have two NIC in my system. 1 is default onboard, & other is Frotech I was attached it. Now When I am going to configure my Broadband with NIC, & connecting router with cable & rebooting system. It shows " Failed To configure IPv4" then In Network monitor it also show Disconnetectd.

N.B: I was trying to solve this with many time freash Installation. But No solution.

Here is My Solaris Network Configuration

Network Interfence: nge0 & rtls

Primary Network Interfence: nge0

Hostname :SERVER

Ip address: 192.168.1.5

Default Route = "Detect Upon reboot"

Subnet Mask :255.255.255.0

here is the solutions,

For Display,

You need to configure Xorg . Go /usr/bin/X11/Xconfig , Xconfig will be executible file...

when run it, you will see monitor picture , Video adapter pic( if any additional VGA attaced with your system), & mouse pic.. right click over monitor ( or what you want to configure.. VGA, mouse etc) then select your monitor frequecy.. then save.. & restart it..

For networking,,

You need to plumb up this card with your NIC name , ( e.g. rstl0 , nge0 etc. ) & then edit host file, give one ip of ur new Lan card & Subnet mask also..

Then for cheacking use this command,

# ifconfig -a

if you will find two names then its ok..

Thanks
