Server: (/ERROR: No IP address specified., SunOS)

When attempting to provision an ALOM host, I get the following error:

Gathering network information..

Client: 192.168.1.51 (192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0)

ERROR: Could not obtain network information for server

Any help is greatly appriciated.

I put bge0 on the provisioning network, reconfigured the ALOM host parameters, and things are fine.

Do you have a multi home jumpstart server ? If yes, please look at /opt/SUNWjet/etc/server_interfaces. Configure your responsible server network interface for the client ....hope that helps...Chris

Hi,Your error message is produced by /opt/SUNWjet/Utils/serverlib/JS_get_netmask scriptThis script is responsible to get netmask for interface..It makes sense to configure /etc/netmasks for your interfaces....greetings,Chris
