Installation problem - no project type 'enterprise'

Hello

I have just installed Java Studio Enterprise 8 but I dont have an 'enterprise' option on the new project menu. The options samples, standard, uml & web are available.

I am using Windows XP SP2 and JDK 1.5.0.10

One of my colleagues intalled the same on XP SP1 and he has the a different list of options : general, uml, web, enterprise, portal architecture and samples.

Can someone help me understand what is the problem with my installation?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Sometimes this problem occurs if the userdirectory is corrupted. Can u pl. try running the ide with a fresh userdir?Ref: http://blogs.sun.com/karthikr/entry/jse_directories

Glad to know your problem got resolved. But pl. do note that userdirs are not, by design, transferrable. There could be settings on the colleagues' userdir (like paths on his/her machine) that may not work correctly on your system. If you run into strange errors, you may want to start with a fresh userdir. You will of course need to manually update settings/options in the ide itself which should correctly update the userdir.
