Generating reports/PDF tutorial

First off let me say this is a great tutorial...

Trying to understand how this works I have attempted to add/remove table columns (db fields) and this have happened upon an issue I can not seem to resolve.

when adding table columns (db fields) thins look fine in the inital display and in the text/html page report

However, the PDF file appears to be set from somewhere - not the tripreportByperson.jrxml file - to a fixed width...Display of the PDf file is truncated on the right and does not render for printing at all.I have tried setting the PDF Reader "size" to 25% and it still displays as truncated at the same "point."

How can I fix this
