Messages copied from another mailbox not visible in folder

Running iPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 Hotfix 2.07 under Solaris 8.

Copied messages from one mailbox to another with commands in form:./mboxutil -r "user/a-user/A" "user/ab-user/B"From /usr/iplanet/iMS/bin/msg/admin/bin on host,

ran./reconstruct -f -r user/ab-user Got

" Reconstructing..." message for each folder and

"user/ab-user: fixed quota root usage".

When logging in to the ab-user mail account via the Sun web client, the summary screen says there are messages in some of the folders, but when opening all the folders it says they contain no messages.

The mailbox directory and all its files and sub-directories are all owned by 'mailsrv'; the mailbox directory and all sub-directories have permissions 700; the mailbox's files all have permission 600.

What do I need to do to get the web client to be able to see the messages?

Hi,

Do you get errors in the http logs? Have you tried using an IMAP client and seeing if that is able to see the messages?

How about the output of the ./mboxutil -lxp 'user/ab-user/*'

Does it list messages in the folders?

If you run "./reconstruct -r user/ab-user" (no -f) do you get any error messages?

Regards,

Shane.
