MEM / UWC and port 2080
Hi,
I have Communications Express configured on port 80 and MEM on 2080, both on the same host, the back-end Messenger Express is on port 80
.
Now, everything works grand, what does bug me though is users reach the webmail interface on port 80 and login, then immediately after login MEM takes over and the URL is changed to port 2080, so if I as an external user want to access this webmail system I need not only port 80 open in the firewall, but also port 2080!
Is this a configuration mistake on my part is is this simply the way it works and cannot be any different?
At login: http://webmail.acme.com/uwc/auth
After login: http://webmail.acme.com:2080/en/mail.html?lang=en&laurel=on&cal=1
Thanks and best regards,

Thanks Jay,
You did answer my question, but what I was actually looking for was what's described in "Technical Note: Configuring Web Server Reverse Proxy Plugin for Communications Express" (http://docs.sun.com/source/819-4194/index.html) :-)
This solved my problem, what's bugging me now is that I have ME (Messenger Express) on / and CE (Communications Express) on /uwc/, users shouldn't have a choice between either but only get CE .. been looking at the webserver docs but I see no way of redirecting / to /uwc without ending up in a redirection loop :-/
Another thing, minor though, is if I login to CE and then without logging out I go to the root of my server ie webmail.acme.com/then it logs me straight into ME, obviously because I'm authenticated through AM, and here's the but, if I then logout in ME I can't easily get back to CE, I can either type in the entire URL http://webmail.acme.com/en/mail.html?lang=en&laurel=on&cal=1 or delete the JSESSIONID cookie. If I simply go to /uwc/ I end up in ME again.
Anyway, I'm very happy with the fact that I can access CE through just port 80.
I appreciate the time you're taking to help us poor lost souls, it's a rather complex suite of products :-)
Thanks,
Lasse

Um, yes, that's one of the problems. Users can continue to get to ME. This all changes with the next version, due out pretty soon, now.
