This sounds like the AM bug we've talked about, here, before. It's fixed with the current patch, -58
# 2
Hi, Thanks for your reply, can you please give complete Patch number? Best regards Mohammad
# 3
Well, since I have no idea what OS and platform you're using, it's truly hard for me to give you a patch number. If I assume Sparc/Solaris, then:118207, and get the latest version available. That's the core Messaging patch.

Hi Jay,
Thanks I just got the patch installed, but still no luck, I can not login to UWC via Windows explorer, but I can login to UWC via firefox and netscape,
I follow the all steps in release note for the patch and installed the all new config file and also I ran the ldif update for the patch but still same problem.

Hi Jay,I just installed the patch and follow the post installation instruction, but still I can not login via windows explorer, login from Mozila / Netscape is fine. for your information I am on Solaris 10 x86. Best regards Mo

Hm. Version of Explorer? OS?do you have popup blocker on?firewall set up?
# 7
Hi Jay
The OS is XP Pro, Explorer version is 6.0.2900 and there is no firewall of pop-up blocker, the amazing thing is from the same machine mozila and netscape work properly and when I use the explorer I get SSO error inside the uwc log, I also check the AM log, in both case shows successful authentication for both mozila and explorer but on explorer the login page keep refreshing and but mozila can login.
however I tried that from 3 different machine with XP and Windows 2000 no one can login with explorer but with Mozia firefox.
really I can not undrestand problem, unless there is something wrong on the server which firefox can ignore that but explorer can't.
however I have to say everthing is okay on this server, outlook conector works perfectly and users from firefox can use uwc interface without any problem.

I vaguely remember some kind of IE hack that you need to set in the registry, but I can't locate it at present.Do you know what patch of UWC you're on? 118541?
# 9
Hi Jay,
I installed the patch number 118541-23, which I believe resolved some issues on UWC calendar and etc. do you know where can find hacking for explorer, really I am stuck on this and I can not move forward.
I don't know if there is any newer patch for this.
it seems I am the only system admin which experiencing such issue or no one use the explorer, and I can't undrestand why uwc SSO failes with explorer
here is the log with explorer

SEVERE: Could not load the file: /var/opt/SUNWuwc/WEB-INF/domain/en-us/i18n.properties (No such file or directory)
Please confirm that you actually have the above file.
It may be that your IE is set to a non-english default language, triggering our i18n stuff, which isn't installed properly in your setup.

Is this a Schema 2 or Schema 1 setup. If in schema2 ,can you try accessign Access Manager url thru the Windows explorer and then change the URL to /uwc .If not,are you able to access Messenger Express thru the Windows explorer.ThanksRamya
# 16
Hi Ray,
Good point, I can not login to access manager via explorer but via firefox, I am experiencing the same behaviour (repeated login screen) via explorer but I can login to both via Firefox or netscape.
I am on Schema2, and i have to say i can login to both messenger express and calendar express but not uwc.
i think I have to change the problem description "I can not login to access manager / uwc via windows explorer" but I can login to both via firefox and netscape.
Best regards

This is sounding like an Access Manager problem, more than an Explorer problem.do you have a default language other than English set up in IE?
# 18
Hello,
Have you set the correct cookie to your domain?
I had the same problem, using FF to login from uwc can get into Communiction Express but if using IE, it will return to the login page repeatedly.
Please login into access manager console, click service, -> platform, set the cookie from .com to yourdomain.com.
Good luck.

Hi Robet
I can not see the Platform under Service, when I login to amserver first I have to select the domain, I can see the services menu but I have got nothing inside it.
I can see the Add, and under add I have the below list.
Administration
Discovery Service
Globalization Settings
Password Reset
Session

Hi Rob,
Thanks about your msg, you were right, the problem was on Access manager and I had .com instead of domain name, (mydomainname.com)
I will write complete report about the thing I have done which leads to fix the problem,
now I can login to the UWC via Explorer and everything look fine until I find another problem.
thank you all for your help.
Best regards

Hello Mo,
I am glad to hear that. ^^
cookie: .com
URL: http://hostname.com <- OK to access
URL: http://hostname.yourdomain.com <- NO, return to login page
cookie: yourdomain.com
URL: http://hostname.yourdomain.com <- OK to access
URL: http://hostname.subdomain.yourdomain.com <- NO, return to login page
The above is the default constraint for IE to use with cookie, FF won't follow the rule.
Best regards,
Robert
