Redirect mail

Good day. There is a mail box test@myhome.ru. The employee has left and has asked, that its mail all was sent on tets@external.ru, but by rules it is necessary, that its box has been removed.Whether I CAN having removed its box, to organize a redirect of all letters?

What you want is called, "forwarding". You add it to the ldap record, and remove "mailbox" from the delivery section.

Simply there was an employee, it had a mail box for example test@domain.ru.

Now he has left and asks that all mail forwarded on its mail box for example test@yahoo.com.

But thus, he should not have the right to write mail from test@domain.ru. That is my mail server, will act as a sluice, without the right of preservation of mail and sending of the letter from its account.

Since you've never shared your version, as I request from all questioners, I can't point you towards the correct documentation.

Ok.

You have some options.I suggest that you:

1. change the user's password, so they can no longer log into your server.

2. Use comm-admin or an ldap editor to change:

A.Change the value of "mailDeliveryOption from "mailbox" to "forward"

B. Add the mail address you wish mail to be forwarded to to the "mailForwardingAddress".

done.

Jay,

I have still a question:

I want on Sun Java SE to create the robot of dispatch, for example:

1. The user writes on test@domain.ru

2. From this address to him the letter with already hammered text, for example with the schedule of a room if the user once again will write the letter should come once again and so on comes.

It is necessary that it worked only at office, without an opportunity of sending of letters in outside of.

Whether it is possible?

I have no idea what you mean, here. Alas. . .

Do you mean, "a random user sends a mail to 'test@domain.ru'"?

I cannot understand what it is you're saying, here. I'm sorry.

I think perhaps you're asking if the user, the user that you have forwarded the account of, can continue to send mail through your server.

The answer is, that unless he is inside your system, he cannot send mail out. To send mail out, he would have to authenticate to your server. Since you changed his password, he can no longer authenticate.

It is the new problem which has been not connected with previousIt is necessary for me, that all internal users at sending the letter on the address test@domain.ru, received the constant answer, for example the schedule. That is to adjust the post robot

I am having serious problems understanding what it is you want.

I think you're asking for a message to be sent automatically to anybody that sends a mail to "test@domain.ru".

That's what we call, "autoreply"

You create the message, and turn it on pretty easily, by logging into webmail as the user, "test".

select "options"

select "Vacation Message"

Fill in what text you want in the reply. Set number of days between mails for each sender that you want the server to wait, before sending another reply out. Zero will cause the system to send out replies every time.

You can have a different message for "internal" users and "external" users, if you like.
