I'm new to messaging & have following ques...
1) How i have to check that the particular user is accessing mail
through POP or IMAP ? which Messaging server command line
utility i have to use to perform this task ?
2) If any user complaints that he is unable to send mail ? can anybody
tell me the step by step way to find out the problem ?

Assuming Messaging 6.2. You don't state. . .

imconnutil. You have to configure the server to save this data. Documentation:

First check that his client is correctly configured. That's the most common problem. Is it configured to connect to the correct server?
What error message does he get when he tries? Do you get any log entries?
