commadmin domain purge says Grace period has not expired

hi!

im trying to completely remove a hosted domain.

when i run

./commadmin domain purge -D admin -n my.domain -d bad.domain -w pass

it says:

FAIL

Grace period has not expired. Object will not be purged. domain => bad.domain

how can i disable this grace period?

is this the right way to remove a domain?

regards

you can try adding the -g 0 switch (for no grace period) - though i haven't had much luck permanently deleting anything from the DS w/ commadmin.

done. these are my steps:

1 - delete domain from delegated administrator (da/DA)

2 - purge domain with ./commadmin domain purge

3 - delete NON PURGED data with mpsconsole -> directory (select directly on ldap tree and remove with right click).

4 - bless sun for make easy things so complicated and viceversa.

Would that deleting a user or domain might be easy.

Certainly, removing a user or domain from ldap is easy. However, making sure that when removing a user, that all static groups/lists that include the user are updated, that the mailbox is purged, and that the PAB is deleted isn't quite so easy. . .

Hopefully, this will improve somewhat with 6.3, due out this winter.
