Javaupdate=0 is a joke
I am trying to deploy java 5.0 update 9. In an enterprise environment I would think everyone else would be on the same page with me and wouldn't want 1000 computers setup to autoupdate and downlod from sun. Our current installs have autoupdate turned off. but no matter what I do with jre switches it decides to turn itself back on in the control panel after opening a webpage that starts the applet.
jre-1_5_0_09-windows-i586-p-s.exe /s ADDLOCAL=ALL IEXPLORER=1 REBOOT=Suppress JAVAUPDATE=0

Unfortunately, you selected the wrong forum for your post.
This isn't for questions about Java or JRE when used on desktop computers.
Glance at the top of the forum page, where it describes the Java Desktop Syatem:
"Sun Java Desktop System is a fully integrated, comprehensive, and secure desktop environment that offers a simplified user interface with familiar desktop themes and file manager views. Among its components are a GNOME desktop environment; StarOffice Office Productivity Suite; Mozilla browser; Evolution mail and calendar; Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE platform); and a Linux operating system. "
In other words, Sun's JDS is an OS and this is the forum for it.

Try here http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=38You should download ORCA from the MS website, and modify the MST transform, then deploy the app using group policy.
