LU - partially complete - SUNWxorg-compatlinks

I'm trying to upgrade a V490 from Solaris 9 4/04 to Solaris 10 6/06. luupgrade is ending with "is partially complete". Support is suggesting that I just delete the upgrade_failed_pkgadds file and continue on, but this is my first Solaris upgrade and I'm concerned about breaking something down the road.

Any advice for a first timer?

Here's the luupgrade command and it's console output:

root@rizzo # luupgrade -u -n sol10 -s /net/honeydew/export/jumpstart/OS/Solaris_10_2006-06

I found this in the upgrade_log:

Installation of <SUNWxorg-client-programs> was successful.

Doing pkgadd of SUNWxorg-compatlinks to /.

pkgadd: ERROR: unable to create package object </a/usr/lib/X11>.

file type <s> expected <d> actual

unable to remove existing directory at </a/usr/lib/X11>

Installation of <SUNWxorg-compatlinks> partially failed.

pkgadd return code = 2

Also, SunSolve shows a bug (6185694) with a state of 11-Closed that looks similar to my problem. How can I determine the patch number, it there is a patch?

Thanks,

sysglen
