DMP or AP or MPXIO on solaris 9

I have a sf6900 connected to some EMC disks via some dual port HBAs. I need to be able to configure Alternate-Pathing(mpxio or dmp) and then test the fail-over works.Hope someone can help,Pat

I forget to add that this is running under SVM control. What do I need to install? and how do I test it?

DMP is portion of Veritas (Symantec) Volume Manager/Storage Foundation. You only mentioned SVM, so I don't know that you have that installed. Check the support matrix to be sure your arrays and cards are supported.

If you have Sun HBAs or certain compatible HBAs, you can use MPxIO (STMS). For Solaris 9, that's part of the SAN Foundation Suite. Download from sun and install. It contains documents on configuration.

The array in question also needs to be MPXIO compatible.Either a fully symmetric array or have specific support built into mpxio.I'm not sure what the status is for an EMC array. But its a type that sun rebadges you should be ok.
