Have 2 IDM versions on Solaris

Hi All,

We have IDM5.5(Development) up and running on Solaris and would like to install and run test cycle on IDM6.0 and move this to prod.

Now, can we have 2 different versions of IDM running on Solaris pointing to single repository and active directory?

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.

Thankyou.

While there is nothing stopping you from installing 2 instances of IDM (diff or same versions) on the same box, you cannot have them point to the same repository - reason being: with every version upgrade, there are schema changes (at least for the major versions)...

So why not create 2 diff repositories as well. what is stopping you from doing that?

We had developed our objects in 5.5 and would like to do testing in 6.0 (current version) and move this to production. We will remove the resource adapters on 5.5, once the testing on 6.0 is successful. Thank You.G
