My organization is considering purchasing Identity Manager. We would be doing our own implementation so we would like to send some people to training. The training should be in depth and appropriate for developers and administrators. Does anyone know if there are any training courses of this type available which cover version 6 (NOT version 5) and of course a bit of version 7 would also be nice.

Have you looked on sun's training site? I attended a training session earlier this year. At that time the material for the 6.0 training was being published, and they were starting to train the instructors on it. I'm assuming they have probably started offering the 6.0 classes. My advice to get the most out of training would be to study and train by yourself for a few weeks, then go to the training class, then come back and start implementing or working with the software. It won't do you a lot of good if you take a lot of time off after the training.
