Clustering Sun Directory Server

Hi,

We currently have Sun Directory Server 5.2 running on a windows 2003 box.

We would like to cluster our directory server to provide failover functionality. How would we go about doing this?

We are currently using the non-enterprise version of directory server, can we set up a cluster using this? Or do we need to upgrade to the full enterprise version?

Hope someone can help :-)

Dave

Clustering is not supported on Windows. The only supported clustering is SunCluster on Solaris. http://docs.sun.com/source/817-7608/Cluster.htmlAnd to be blunt, clustering makes no sense anyway. You get availability and failover better and cheaper by using the multi-master

Have you also evaluated a multimaster setup of the directory server? But create a failover cluster script for any cluster software (even on windows) is not much work at all if needed./Per-Olov
