JMF - max. Camera resolutions?

Hello,

I want to use my new Microsoft Lifecam NX6000 for some video and picture grabbing applications which I realised with JMF. But up to now there is no chance to get more than the 640x480 VGA resolution. I also tested it with JMStudio ... but also the same limitation to VGA. With the original MS-viewer also the higher resolutions can be started.

Any suggestions?

JMF grabs frames ( pictures ) from a video stream.

So it is limited to the max video resolution of your camera, even though you're only grabbing one frame from it.

Typically, the video resolution is less than the still photo resolution.

So, you may have to use some alternative API's to access the still photo resolution of your camera, eg. TWAIN or maybe some Microsoft specific DirectShow wrapper.
