what is the latest family patch provided by SUN?

I am not sure what you mean by "family" patch. Could you please elaborate?

For Solaris 10, the Update Connection software provides the means to run an analysis for a system to show latest available patches and also to apply them. It provides the smpatch CLI, the updatemanager GUI and an optional web portal for remotely managing patches.
