CAPS is the successor of ICAN
in general if you want to use a lot features of ICAN/CAPS i would nowadays stick to ICAN as long as not all components are available in CAPS.
CAPS and ICAN have some architectural differences but in major points they are really similar.
if you are just using some resource adapters you could/should start with CAPS as you might save time not doing a migration to CAPS later on.

With previous releases, the .sar file for the Windows Logical Host was packaged within the eGate.sar file. This is no longer the case; with version 5.1.0 you separately upload the Logical Host .sar file條ogicalhost-*.sar梖or every platform.
