Undetected Broadcom 5751 NIC on Solaris 10 6/06 x86 system

I installed Solaris 10 6/06 on an IBM Thinkcenter 8136 but NIC (Broadcom xtreme 5751 Gigabit) was not detected. I checked the HCL to determine availability and found a link to a driver provided by Broadcom.

The installation of the driver is successful with a warning that says

"devfsadm: driver failed to attach"

I checked the entries in /etc/driver_aliases and they are all correct.

Then i use ifconfig bcme0 plumb but got an error.
