Hard Drive Boundary

Is there an upper limit that Solaris 5 will see on a hard drive? My question comes from the fact that I installed a new unformatted 20gb seagate drive in an ultra 5 running solaris 5. When I enter format, the output shows only 8gb (7.7 something minus the buffer). Is there a patch I can install or anything I can do to enable the workstation to see the entire 20gb disk? I have some similar ultra-5's that are running 2.7 that dont have this issue.

Thanks

Mike

Hello Mike,"Various releases of Solaris have different upper limits in the size of the IDE disks they support."Please review the following link to the Solaris 2.x FAQ http://www.science.uva.nl/pub/solaris/solaris2.html#q5.64Michael
