Is it possible to create ftp://mydomain.com on Sun ONE Web Server 6.1?

I ask one company to implement my hosting infrastructure by using Solaris 10 6/06 and Sun ONE Web Server 6.1. I have ever use godaddy.com which provide ftp://mydomain.com . Is that possible for the company which I deploy to make ftp://mydomain.com on Solaris 10 6/06 and Sun ONE Web Server 6.1? Or I need additional software to mange ftp://mydomain.com and ftp://mycustomer.com.
