ASP .NET

Does any body know if there are plans to support ASP .NET rather than just the old ASP? At the moment the students at our college are studying VB .NET. I have a Linux Box which supports ASP.John Proctor http://hnc.jproctor.net

.NET is a whole other beast. Check out Mono for a solution.

To be more verbose, .NET is an entirely new framework and very different from classic ASP. As far as I know, Mono is the only robust open source solution. Unfortunately its VB.NET compiler is not very good, so you still have to compile in Visual Studio .NET.

Hi Jsravn thanks for your help its a great shame for me as I lecturer at a College that is Linked to the University the are going from VB .NET to ASP .NET and I loved the idea of being able to link to the Linux Box instead of using pc only based teaching again thanks for your help.

There is no plans to implement .NET with Sun ASP Server.
