installing patches

Hi I have V800 and run solaris 9. I have downloaded these 2 files:

9_Recommended.zip and 9_SunAlert_Patch_Cluster.zip

1. is there any order to run these patches

2. If the patch already exists, and re-run this, will it be any harm

3. is installing the patch as easy as just to run install_cluster

4. I've got Oracle db & OAS running. Do I have to shut them down.

5. Any other precaution I need to take before running install_cluster.

There is a 'patch_order' file in each zipfile.

Yes

Depends on what's being patched. It's generally best to apply patches in single-user mode.

See answer #4 above. You can always make a backup before you start.
