tomcat
I have Tomcat installed on a Solaris 10 machine. I do not use it or Apache on this server as I use Sun ONE Web Server.I would like to remove the Tomcat package.
Before I remove it, I would like to know if Tomcat is used by any OS service or anything else that I may not know about?

Dunno about Solaris 10, but AFAIK, tomcat isn't used by default by any core OS package/software. However, if you have a software installed that uses a web/java frontend - odds are that you have a tomcat servlet engine hidden somewhere. But in most cases, a complete distro (and unique) of tomcat usually is installed with the software (and get's uninstalled with it as well).
