Root file system restore in Solaris 10

HiI would like to know whether the restoration process of Root file system in Solaris 10 is the same as that of Solaris 9Thanks in advanceAshraf.

Pretty much. There's no real differences here between 10 and 9. Someday the ability to have a supported root ZFS filesystem will change things, but not right now.-- Darren

I would expect the results to be the same as if you took a copy

of a Win98 root disk and over-wrote a WinXP root disk.

... or took a copy of a RedHat root disk and over-wrote a SUSE root disk.

You would have the distinct pleasure of installing everything

from the beginning, with your CD disks.
