volume keyboard mapping

hello,

can someone please let me know if you can map the volume up and down keyboard commands? my customer is using a dell keyboard and not the sun one. I have read through the manual and can't find an exact match for /etc/opt/SUNWut/utslaunch_defaults.properties file. do you also know how to map the three keys that show the OSD (on screen display)?

thank you.

Hello All,

For those interested, here is some info:

The current Sunray Firmware does not support this because those particular operations involve the unit's firmware DIRECTLY intercepting/interpreting the keycodes sent by the keyboard.

The good news is that the next SRSS release will support alternative

key combinations that should work on most keyboards.

Until then, use the utsettings command to control volume via the popup window. This command can be mapped via the /etc/opt/SUNWut/utslaunch_defaults.properties file.

NOTE: when using the Sunray Connector Software (uttsc) in full screen CAM mode, do not give the "-b" option. This option disables the pull down menu from a MS Windows Emulation. You need to "iconify" your windows session, get to the "dtsession" page, then hit your mapped sequence to see the "utsettings" menu box. Otherwise it will be "hidden" behind the MS windows page.

Regards,

Tucker
