Sun Ray X Server will not start....

I am having a problem with my Sunray 1 clients logging onto a Netra T1 running Solaris 10 6/06 with Sunray software 3.1.

Everything seemed to install fine and I can even get a login screen on the Sunray. However, after entering the user name and password, I get the OSD icon with a code of 26D (this is actually ok because it means it is just waiting for the graphics to be generated), but then it cycles back to the dtlogin.

I checked the error logs in /var/dt/Xerrors and here is what I get:

Fatal server error:

SunRay Session map does not exist (display 2)!

Fri Aug 11 18:29:49 2006

info (pid 2079): Rebuildingdefault language list from/usr/lib/locale

Fri Aug 11 18:29:49 2006

info (pid 2079): Rescanning both config and servers files

Fri Aug 11 18:30:13 2006

info (pid 2079): Rereading configuration file /etc/dt/config/Xconfig

Since the server is"headless", I have made the configuration changes in /etc/dt/Xserver.SUNWut.prototype as instructed by Sun.

I am at a loss. I have googled the errors and haven't come up with anything.

Just something silly from the past, if I remember correctly...

Did you check that the user that you are using to log in has a home directory that corresponds to the one in the passwd file and that it has write access to it? (ie. /export/home/usersomething)

If that directory does not exist or if user can't write to it, xserver won't be able to start the session, hence, it will look like SR is hanging with 26D...
