Sun Ray set up questions

Hi All,

I am looking to set up a stand-alone workstation (Sun Blade 100) with two connected Sun Ray 2 terminals. I have never done a Sun Ray set up before. What do I need to do to get the set up connected? Do I need to get Solaris (version 8 on this box) updated? Do I need to get access licences for both of the Sun Rays?

I'm completely in the dark on this one, and I would really appreciate some help. If someone could point me in the direction of some decent documentation I would be really grateful.

TIA

Andy

basically all you need to do is download the software, and run the utinstall command. this installs sunray in /opt/SUNWut. reboot the machine. cd to /opt/SUNWut/sbin and run utconfig. this will ask you for answers to some basic questions. after completing the utconfig issue a utrestart(found int he same dir). then run the utadm(this sets up the lan connections. depending on what your network is it will look something like this:

utadm -A 192.168.0.0)

check the man pages for the utconfig and utadm comand for how you should use those commands, it this will give you a real basic setup of sunray.
