Where to get update patch clusters e.t.c.

G'day all,

Just wondering where i can get update clusters or patch clusters for my SRSS 3.1

I downloaded it before SRSS 4 existed, if that is any use to any one!

Do these updates include things like firmware updates or added USB support.

One other thing, i am running SRSS for x86 and on the Sun JDS on Sunrays, most of the sun short cut keys don't work, kind of annoying because on my sparc E450 they all do.

thanks

Get them from the usual place: go to <http://sunsolve.sun.com/> and follow the PatchFinder link. The 3.1-on-Sol/x86 patch ID is 120880. That patch is curently at rev -03. -04 should be available wthin a couple of weeks.

SRS 4 ("Sun Ray Software 4") is just a collection that contains several software products, one of which is SRSS 3.1 along with the -03 patches for SPARC, x86 and Linux. So you could get the -03 patch by downloading SRS 4 but that's a big download for a small patch and it will be out of date when -04 comes out. Marketing invented the SRS 4 name, and everybody outside Marketing thinks it's ridiculous, but Marketing "owns" product naming so we're stuck with it until they change their minds.

The bug list is in the patch README file. -03 does deliver updated firmware. I don't see any USB fixes in the list.

That would be a JDS problem. You might try asking in the "Sun Java Desktop Forum", <http://forum.sun.com/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=118>.
