N1400 and SunMC

Although SunMC uses SNMP itself, and has MIBs for many of it's common "modules", it's not straightforward to have it load 3rd party MIBs. The best way of doing it is to use the "Module Building Module" that's part of the SDK (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5203?l=en).

That module has a MIB import feature that builds a basic skeleton SunMC module from your MIBs, but it it still needs a lot of elbow grease to turn it into something easy to use and deploy (i.e. good enough to sell to somebody else).

If you need to monitor lots of N1400's or they're critical to your project, Halcyon could do the heavy lifting for you. Several of our commercial modules use SNMP:
