ignoring alerts for some specific disks

Hi,

Just started as a total newbee to play with SMC3.6.1

I checked with local SUN support if we can let either the agent or the server exclude certain disks from being checked. The answer was that a bug prevents this, an RFE is opened.

In the mean time, can I achieve the same result by setting check-thresholds for an individual disk to extreme heights, so that it will never be reported ?

Any help is very appreciated !

Yes, if Sun says there's a bug preventing it from being excluded you can either set thresholds that will never be reached, or (in the same place - Attribute Editor -> Alarms tab) set a "Time Window" that can never occur. Something like "year = 1999" would prevent you from ever seeing an alarm from that piece of data.
