Raid support on 3120

刋The Sun StorEdge 3120 SCSI Array is a JBOD system that appears to acts like a RAID 1 storage device. What happens when disk fails? Does it failover to the other drive with itˇs data intact? If so, how does this happen?

JBOD systems rely on host based software to configure the disks to a RAID level. Research volume managers for you operating system eg. Solaris Volume Manager for Solaris 9 and 10.

the 3120 doesn't have any RAID controller and will just appear as a number of physical disks under format.A host-based volume manager (SVM or VxVM) or filesystem (ZFS) would be required to provide any data resilience.
