3510 on a SF3800 possible?

We are considering attaching a 3510 to a Sun Fire 3800. The 3800 uses cPCI bus, and we have a X6748A Dual fiber controller in it. However, in the Sun systems handbook, StorEdge 3510 is not listed as supported against X6748A. But the 3511 is supported... The handbook only lists X6748A as supported fiber controller for 3800.

So according to the handbook I can not attach the 3510 to the 3800. Or is it just not supported? Will it work anyway? Have anyone tried this? Thoughts? Comments?

It will work. It should be supported but it might be off the WWWW for various reasons. (Probably an oversight.)

This is just a guess, but ...The SF3800 is EOL and has been for three years, already. The SSH may just not ever get modified to reflect compatibilitywith a peripheral that GA'd at or after an EOL date.... just a guess.

Did you ever get this to work. I'd like to try the same thing.
