Configuring StorEdge 3320

Hi All,

I have configured StorEdge 3320 with three logical drives:

- 8 disks in Raid 5 (7 Active and 1 Spare;each drive is 72 GB)

- 2 disks in Raid 1 (each drive is 72 GB)

- 2 disks in Rain 1 (each drive is 72 GB)

Created one partition of each logical drive (total 3 partitions)

I have updated the LUN's in the sd.conf file. When I do a format command, I see two partitions. Is that right? I thought that the drive will show up with 3 partitions. The two Raid 1's show up as one 135GB patition instead of 2 ~65GB partitions. Here is the output of the format command:

partition> p

Please let me know if this is right.

First, you shouldn't have to update the sd.conf unless explicitly mentioned in the docs or by a Sun service tech.

Second, the 3320 partitions are exported as LUNs to the host. You should see three LUNs in format from the 3320 each with a specific partition map. Since you're using VTOC it would be seven per lun.
