se3510 fc das configuration
Hi,
We have bought a Sun Fire V490R box and a StorEdge 3510 FC array. Also, we have installed 2 HBA cards into the V490R box. Right now I'm stuck into the direct-attach configuration (DAS) so that the V490R box directly connect to the SE 3510 FC array. I looked the sun documentation: 816-7300 (install,operation and service) and 816-7325 (Best Practice), but can not follow the document instructions to finish the setup.
What I did up to now is I connect one fibre-optic cable to array channel 0 FC0 port on upper controller, the other fibre-optic cable to array channel 5 FC5 port on lower controller. And I installed the sccli utility to Sun V490R box. But when I ran sccli command, I got 'No manageable devices found'. At OBP prompt, I ran 'probe-scsi-all', there is no 'Local Loop Device' message shown up. The Sun V490R is installed with Solaris 5.9 Generic_118558-28 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V490. I'm really stuck at this point and don't know what to do. Please HELP!
