Moving StarOffice 8 to a new computer

I just got a new computer and want to move my StarOffice 8 program from the old one to the new one. Does anyone know how to do that? Can I just move the folders with the program files in them over?Thanks!

Assuming you are using WinXP, you need to move three folders (I just did it when setting up a new office computer). For all replicate the new location exactly.

Folders to move

[1] C:\Program Files\Sun

[2] C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Star Office 8

Substitute your user name for User

[3] C:\Documents and Settings\User\Star Menu\Programs\Star Office 8

Again substitute your user name for User. These are your links to run the files moved in [1].

In Documents and Settings you will find the Star Office 8 folders where you told them to be installed.
