getting emacs in solaris

our college bought a new solaris based server with thinclients.we are better accustommed with emacs for programming which is not there.as login is through telnet , only command prompt is there.pls give me locations for downloading emacs also how to install it

As far as I understand from configuration you've outlined, you need emacs installed on server. Emacs can be downloaded from http://sunfreeware.com/ (sorry, can't give direct link since I don't know your exact configuration). I was able to compile it from sources, but there's also an option to download pre-compiled archive.
