Unable to invoke f95 or CC on downloaded version of sunstudio11

Hi everyone,

I donwloaded sunstudio11 on Suse Linux Enterprise Server. I got the nice GUI and tutorials but when I try to use any of the compilers they are not there. I particularly downloaded sunstudio so I can use f95. However there is no such an executable anywhere on my system. What did I do wrong? I checked my path, everytthiing is OK. Everything seemed to go OK during an installation too. Is f95 supposed to be a part of the Linux version of sunstudio?

The linux compilers are still in development. The Sun Studio 11

software only includes the IDE and dbx and performance tools

on Linux. You can download the "Technology Preview" on

Linux to try out our compilers.

What actually did you download?

SunStudio11 does not contain f95 or CC for Linux

Also we have Technology Preview release of our compilers for Linux, but this pack does not contain anu GUI.

You can use GUI from SS1 (that you already have) and compilers from TP

More details see here:

It is latest TP that was in March.

Now we are preparing next TP, please look at annonces
