Machine don't boot after install
After a lot of troubles I finaly installed Solaris 10 6/06 on HP DL380 (That's realy Sun certified? Funny :-( ) but after reboot system didn't start. It stops on attempting boot from hard drive....I found a few topics about it, like delete all other raids and disable other disk controllers and make new install; I did but it didn't help. When I boot from CD to console, I see and can mount installation. Can anyone help how to make it boot, pls? When I tried to run grub I got message complaining of "unknown" terminal type.
menu.lst contains:
title Solaris 10...
root (hd0,0,a)
There's the HP SA 6400 with 2x300GB RAID 1+0 and 4x300GB disabled in machine, one internal disabled array controler and one internal IDE controler both without disks attached.
Thanks for any hints.

Ren,
I am a newbie to this but here goes: x86
I recently went through a Solaris install using a DVD. I found that after the initial install I needed to manually eject the install cd-rom then reboot the machine while pressing F2 to change the boot source back to the hard drive and the installation finished. Having other problems now but making progress.
Good Luck,
Jerry

Hi Jerry.
Thanks for reply. I don't think ejecting install medium is a big obstacle, installer even offer to eject medium before reboot and rack servers usualy have slim mechanics so tray isn't loaded during post. In BIOS you can set more boot devices so DVDROM is skiped and boot continues. But press-any-key solution used in MS Windows installer is much more practical, I must admit. I ment more serious problems like bug causing "unknown error" when You load additional driver and then set network in graphical installer, or when You can't choose installation type after that loading of additional driver and You must use ctrl+c trick.
Good luck to You too,
Ren
