failed write of utmpx

running Solaris 8 (SPARC) on Ultra 60 WS

I get the following error when the system is going down on (init 0 and init 6)

INIT: failed write of utmpx entry: s0

INIT: failed write of utmpx entry: fb

The second character/value of the "s" and "f" changes.

Anyone know the problem/a solution ?
