Disabling the boot kernel drivers

Hi,

We are creating a custom jumpstart DVD.

We have a machine that is connected to some storage.

when we boot it, it tries to boot from the first disk on the storage instead the first local one, Can I disable this?

One more thing - Can I disable the boot process network interface configuration attempts (very time consuming...)

Thanks

You can set the default boot device to anything you want by setting the eeprom variable "boot-device".

Hi,

Thanks for the reply

I understand but is there a way to disable external storage identification by the system, forcing it to use only local disks?

Is there someone who knows how to disable the network interfaces configuration tests during cdrom boot, I don't want it to try and configure them at all.

Thanks
