Undetected NIC on Solaris 10 6/06 (Broadcom)

I installed Solaris 10 6/06 on an IBM Thinkcenter 8136 but NIC (Broadcom xtreme 5751 Gigabit) was not detected. I checked the HCL to determine availability and found a link to a driver provided by Broadcom.

The installation of the driver is successful with a warning that says

"devfsadm: driver failed to attach"

I checked the entries in /etc/driver_aliases and they are all correct.

Then i useifconfig bcme0plumb but got an error.

Please help.

Try running # devfsadm -vand see if you get any output, then do the# ifconfig -a plumb
