I suspect that "Solaris Jumpstart" tries to configure your mouse/display and attempts to start an X-based installation. "Custom Jumpstart" tries to install the machine non-interactivly using existing rules and profiles.

The Solaris Interactive desktop/console session tries to force the installation program into X and text based versions, respectivly.

.7/M.

I would like to know what packages solaris 10 will install by default ?

What version of gnome ?

does it have programs like glade-2 ?

gcc ?

make ?

autoconf ?

firefox ?

can i install mplayer or vlc on it ?

thanks
