I suspect that "Solaris Jumpstart" tries to configure your mouse/display and attempts to start an X-based installation. "Custom Jumpstart" tries to install the machine non-interactivly using existing rules and profiles.
The Solaris Interactive desktop/console session tries to force the installation program into X and text based versions, respectivly.

I have a doubt.I decided to change from fedora to solaris 10 .I have already downloaded the 5 cd images and burnt them.
I would like to know what packages solaris 10 will install by default ?
What version of gnome ?
does it have programs like glade-2 ?
gcc ?
make ?
autoconf ?
firefox ?
can i install mplayer or vlc on it ?
