Solaris 8 on x86, boot problem

hello everyone,

I've installed Solaris 8 on my old Pentium II computer. When I boot it, the hardware configuration wizard always shows up, asking me to do a full scan. The first time, I had to change the keyboard layout, but afterwards, it's allready ok after the full scan. My question is, why doesn't solaris know what hardware I have after one full scan? Can I turn this full scan feature off somehow?

thanks!

During the screens, theres a point at which you can hit F4 for options (it shows on the bottom line). One of the options will be to set it up to autoboot.I can't recall if you have to save a named hardware configuration or not.-- Darren
