Filenames on some workstations truncated

Hi. I've burnt a CD on a Windows machine with long filenames which one of our Sunblade 150 machines displays correctly (DVD drive), yet on an older Sunblade 150 (CD drive)displays the filenames in a truncated, PC-type 8.3 format. How can I get the older machine to display the files correctly?

Thanks in advance,

Solaris at the moment only supports 'rock ridge' extenstions for long filenames. Windows only supports 'joliet' so most windows burners only supply joliet on the disk.

'mkisofs' (which can run on Windows as well) supports both rock ridge and joliet extensions so that both Windows and Solaris would be able to see the long names.

Other applications may as well, but I doubt many Windows packages will.
