problems patching Sol10u2/x86
Hi,
I've been unable to apply patches to my Sol10u2 install.
- I had originally registered the system with Update Connection
- today I tried to apply all outstanding patches (94 or so) with Update Manager, which invariably hung partway
- realising that I had non-local zones, I reverted to smpatch
- smpatch download/smpatch update both invariably hung partway
- I uninstall'd the non-local zone, retried, no luck
- I went to single user, retried smpatch, no luck
- I went to Update Connection, queued the 94 jobs, 2 failed, 1 succeed, and 91 are "in progress", and nothing has changed for several hours. As far as I can tell from crontab, the swup agent checks in every hour. Running it manually has no effect whatsoever, and these 91 jobs are not progressing.
- Following the Solaris Security Toolkit (jass) manual, I found myself instructed to find the recommended Solaris 10/x86 patch cluster - However I can't download this - not found.
Every patching avenue I've tried has failed, how do I proceed from here?

After rebooting next day and retrying smpatch update -L, it seemed to apply OK...mostly.
