Sun Update Connection

Here's a quote from http://www.sun.com/service/sunupdate/hosted/index.html

"The Sun Update Connection System is freely available to Solaris 8, Solaris 9, and Solaris 10 users. The client software is included in the Solaris 10 1/06 distribution and available as a software update for the earlier releases."

Nearly all the information that I've seen on Sun Update Connection seems Solaris 10 related but the above quote says otherwise ... but then

The SunSM Update Connection Services datasheet states:

"Access to all Solaris 10 OS recommended, non-critical and feature updates"

I'm not sure what is going on but maybe the plan is to administer Solaris 10 from a Solaris 8 or 9 system.

The bottom line is, I have the same question, should I try to administer Solaris 9 using Sun Update Connection? (At this time I do not have Solaris 10.)
