ext3 or vfat?

On my PC laptop apart from Solaris I have ext3fs partition with linux fedora installation and another ext3 partition with my personal data (linux /home partition). I would like to access /home partition from Solaris. As far as I learned it's not easy at all. So maybe I should convert my ext3 /home partition to vfat? Will it be easier for Solaris to read it? If i do so, what shall I do in Solaris to gain access to it? I'm a rather Solaris newbie, so be generous in explanations, please :)

And btw: any good advices for mounting iPod under Solaris?

Perhaps there are some drivers available but since Solaris can read the fat32 filesystem natively I think its the best solution for you. More information regarding this and your iPod problem can be found here: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-5093
